Part-Time Police Officer
The Village of Easton is currently seeking a part-time police officer.
Maximum of 18 hours per week.
Must have graduated/completed successfully a full or part-time Law Enforcement Training Standards Board Certified Law Enforcement Basic Training Course.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to emergency calls and reports, providing aid and assistance to those in need
- Conduct thorough investigations and gather evidence to solve crimes
- Patrol designated areas to prevent and detect criminal activity
- Make arrests and apprehend suspects
- Maintain accurate records and write detailed reports
- Provide first aid and emergency care as needed
- Handle animal-related incidents and assist with animal care
- Manage conflicts and de-escalate situations to maintain order safely
- Prevent and detect loss or theft of property
- Enforce traffic laws and ensure safe driving practices
